Story of the parent company – Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre (IVAC)

Few prominent institutions in India have made strides in the global arena. While many giants in the IT/BT have carved a niche for themselves, health sciences, Yoga and Ayurveda have caught the imagination of the West thanks to their promoters and propagandists who assiduously pursued these practices as a way of life and good health. One such institution which made a landmark in health sciences is the Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre (IVAC) which is in the heritage city – Mysore. IVAC was founded with a vision to promote the treasures of 5,000 years old ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. What was once perceived as a small initiative, IVAC today has grown into a full-fledged dynamic global ayurvedic healthcare centre for Ayurveda catering to people in from over 55 countries.

These all were possible only because of great visionary Dr Talavane Krishna. MBBS, F.F.A.R.C.S (UK) Founder & Chairman.

Dr. Krishna was born near Sringeri in the state of Karnataka, the oldest centre of Vedic learning established by Shankaracharya twelve centuries ago. Dr Krishna did his medical degree from Mysore University in 1972 and his post graduate training in the UK and Canada as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and practiced in the USA for over two and a half decades.

His passion for Ayurveda/Yoga and understanding of its profound philosophy of healing powers were inspired by his spiritual Master Sri Ranga during his early tender teen years. He founded the Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre over fifteen years ago with a vision to bring Ayurveda/Yoga to the forefront of the modern medicine. He along with other experts, pioneered a therapist’s training program and developed new design concepts for AYURVEDA Centres. The Centre quickly gained international repute for its quality of treatments.

After 20 years of contribution in wellness industry promoting authentic Ayurveda, now he is venturing into urban ayurveda centre called “WOW Ayurveda” to bring Ayurveda to your door step. This “WOW Ayurveda” shall provide ayurvedic treatments though inhouse trained Ayurveda therapists.

We offer the full spectrum ayurvedic treatments which are mostly divided in to panchakarma purification, rejuvenation & detox therapies. All the treatments administered by a qualified ayurveda physician.

“I am writing this review after 3 months of my Panchakarma Treatment.

Post my delivery , I used to have frequent body pains, my thyroid level was a little on the higher side and had hairfall issues. So I wanted to go for an Abhyanga to help reduce my body pain. I first took the Abhyanga treatment as a trial which I liked very much. I consulted the doctor for Panchakarma treatment and opted for the 12 day Panchakarma treatment( This is customisable as per your needs and the treatment required)
They are professional. They greet you with a smile and offer a welcome drink and then take you for the treatment. They explain you the process for that day’s treatment and make you feel comfortable. They begin the treatment with a prayer. At every stage of the treatment they check with you. Thanks to Durga and other staff members. The space is very hygienic and very well maintained. You can feel the calmness when you enter.
After my panchakarma treatment , I felt light and relaxed. My body pains have reduced majorly, weight reduced by 2kgs,thyroid level is back to normal range. WOWAyurveda is a perfect Ayurvedic Spa. I definitely suggest you give it a try.”
